Never fear mr. stag, crapbeard be bringing along the lyrics to a number of piratical drinking tunes, and his getting his crew nicely practiced in em!
some of the numbers include;
drink til i die
bring us more beer
all for me grog
lager than life
the man who hates beer
and more!

In honour of those nefarious rogues the Upside Down Men

*sings*
"They're here, they there, they're everywhere.
Matters not, how hard you stare,
Coz you'll not see and you'll not know,
How what was up, is now below,
Down is Up and Up is Down
Those hidden Men are never found!

Beware the Upside Down Men
Beware the Upside Down Men"

Anyone got a tune and a few more verses?

Ahoy m'hearties tis only two weeks before we set sail for Bandits, Brigands and Buccaneers again (May 28th 2010) So here be a challenge from 'The Midnight Fleet' to all you other scurvy dogs who ain't got the salt to wear the 'Black Sash'.

The Midnight Fleet challenge any crew who have the courage to a grand evening 'Shanty Off' !!!

That's right, a competition to sing the best, the loudest and quite often the most drunken sea shanties that ever be heard.

Remember there be only three rules in a shanty-off.

1) Everyone in your group sings (loudly and piratically) no girly solos from your cabin boys you limpet loven wretches.
2) Every song is preceded and followed by grog (and quite often during)
3) If its about the sea, pirates or lewd then its a shanty.May the best crew win

There be a small fee for enterin the competition (game coin) payable to me 'Honest John' and a suitable prize for the winners. The judges will of course be honest (and hopefully deaf).

To enter come find me, Honest John and give me your gold.

Arrrrrrrr

I hopes you'm not implyin' that we have dishonest ones! Very Happy

Looking forward to hearing some shanties (and forebitters) and may even chip in the odd one (in a strictly non-competitive spirit) if my throat still works.

Are you considering separate classes for halyard, sheet, capstan, stamp'n'go, and pump shanties?
